The DDP 70 is supercharged by a powerful, high performance print controller developed by HiKIS.
Based on a 200 MHz PowerPC processor with a high-speed memory architecture, the controller provides enough horsepower to drive
the DDP 70 at its full rated speed. Standard emulations include PCL 5e, PCL 6. Adobe® PostScript® 3 is available as an option. HiKIS’
patented Virtual Printer Technology® (VPT) is also supported, enabling a single printer to
offer up to 64 print services, or “virtual printers”, each of which can be individually configured
to address environments that do not rely on print drivers, such as Unix. The DDP
70’s built-in web server delivers real-time device monitoring and configuration using common
Internet browsers. The new DDP 70 provides maximum flexibility for connection to
either HiKIS’ powerful DDP MicroPress® server, DDP PrintShoptm, or your office’s local area
network over its standard Ethernet LAN. The DDP70 interfaces directly with the DDP
MicroPress® ClusterServer for optimum performance and high-volume production printing
and DDP PrintShoptm for medium-volume printing. You can monitor consumables, supplies

The DDP 70 is a new breed of high performance
printer from Hitachi Koki Imaging Solutions, Inc.
(HiKIS), one of the world’s premiere manufacturers
of high-speed print engines.
Designed for high-volume applications like print
on-demand, the DDP 70 features an engine life of
20,000,000 images and can print 1.2 million pages before
the first engine PM cycle. You get capacity far exceeding
copier-based network devices typically found in the general
office. Built to last, the DDP 70’s industrial strength
components ensure that you get the highest quality output
page after page. The built-in Web Utilities allow you to link
directly to Hitachi’s web site for
the latest product information,
software and
support. With the
web-based server, system
managers can track
print jobs for departmental
billing. |
